Every suicide is a tragedy that affects families, communities and entire countries and has long-lasting effects on the people left behind; Therefore, it is very important to understand the factors that cause suicidal thoughts and actions.
The World Development Indicators dataset showed that an increase in the suicide rate is associated with an increase in the unemployment rate.
Work in fact is a central point in the lives of so many, not only to provide them with money, but it also offers structure, socialization, a sense of purpose and belonging. So when a person loses his job or does not have a job, he can experience a void that becomes difficult to fill.
One important factor that can decrease the unemployment rate, according to the WDI dataset, is the education and moreover, government expenditure on education. We will walk you through this story board, showing the impact of unemployment on suicide rate, with the proposed solution of the importance of education.
