44-year-old rapper Kanye West has been under fire recently after repeatedly stirring up some trouble in paradise for Hollywood’s newest couple, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson. Kanye’s harsh conduct, which has included many social media rants, a diss track, etc., has obscured Kardashian and Davidson’s relations. In this article, you will be reading a full chronology of this whole drama.
November 18th, 2021: Breaking the internet
When the picture of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson holding hands while celebrating Pete’s 28th birthday at Kris Jenner’s home started circulating on the internet, it became clear that they were dating.
January 6th, 2022: Kanye’s Rebound
Although Kanye has been seen with a few women after his divorce was publicized, his involvement with Julia Fox had caused quite a stir on the internet. They dubbed the relationship “instant”, and extravagant clothing, celebrity restaurant dates, and plenty of PDA followed. Fox revealed the couple’s amicable breakup just under a month later.
January 15th, 2022: The Diss Track
On the diss track, “Eazy”, Ye entrenched his dispute with Davidson in his first release since his last album Donda. “God saved me from that crash… Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**.” Ironically, West was listed as a perpetrator in a battery report following an alleged physical fight in L.A. that same week, making this whole situation a victim of awful timing.
February 4th, 2022: Bashing Kim – Her Response
Kanye is no stranger to lashing out on social media, so it came as no shock when he launched a rampage criticizing Kardashian’s parenting abilities and, sure enough, her relationship with Pete. Kardashian then blasted West for his continuous insults bashing her in interviews and online.
February 13th, 2022: Post and Delete
During the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, Kanye went all out, making over 50 Instagram posts criticizing the couple. Kanye ridiculed Pete’s tattoos, entertained a false rumor regarding Pete having an intimate relationship with Hillary Clinton, and accused him of sending private images to Mac Miller with the latter’s ex, Ariana Grande, enlisted the help of his supporters to torment him, and much more.
March 2nd & 10th, 2022: Not Taking it “Eazy”
On the 2nd and 10th of March, Kanye released two videos for his single “Eazy.” Kanye abducts a claymation rendition of Pete and buries him alive in the debut video, then he knocks on Davidson again in the second video, only this time, Pete is a strange CGI version.
March 13th, 2022: Breaking the Silence
Finally, Pete replied to Kanye. Davidson’s friend Dave Sirus posted a text conversation in which he advised Kanye to mature. Davidson sought to make peace with Kanye despite his nasty comment by arranging a private meeting in his hotel room to hash it out. However, Davidson concluded his text by saying that if Kanye continues to treat him the way he has for the past six months, he will stop being polite.
March 16th, 2022: Suspended
Kanye was briefly barred from Instagram after his remarks about Pete and Kim over breaking the app’s hate speech, harassment, and abuse regulations.
March 18th, 2022: Back to Business
When Kanye returned to Instagram, he wiped his page clean and left it blank.
March 28th, 2022: Spotted!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were spotted together in Los Angeles cheering on their son Saint throughout a soccer match. The ex-couple appear to be attempting to make their co-parenting arrangement work even while they complete key parts of their divorce.
The situation is still unraveling and the story remains in progress. The turbulence and horridness of divorce and its impact on the children of the divorced couple is a serious and overlooked societal issue that hinders the lives of countless families across the world.
