Now, Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region is being affected by devastating floods which have forced the country’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, to return earlier from the G7 summit in Japan. Meanwhile, climate activists warn the EU and call for long-term visioned strategies to confront the climate crisis.

The G7 countries – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States convened for their annual summit in Hiroshima this May 21st. Between an invite to Ukrainian president, Volodomyr Zelensky, and possible discussions with India and Australia, the leaders sent a direct message to Russia and China.
