Petitions

When do I need to submit a Petition?

The purpose of the petition (or request or appeal) is to allow students to submit a form or request a special approval for a “change of policy”.
For example, the credit load of an undergraduate student is 18 credits. If a student is planning to take 19 credits or more, he /she must submit a petition (overload petition).

How do I submit a petition?

  1. Login to the online Petition form at the following link: https://epetitions.aub.edu.lb/
  2. Provide a clear and justifiable explanation for your request. Give full information and upload supporting documents. No need to write your name or specify your major as this information is already available when you login.
  3. The petition then goes through a workflow depending on its type. Workflow might include registration adviser, academic adviser, chairperson, course instructor. You can track the status of your petition anytime you log-in to the system.
  4. At the last stage, the petitions are discussed at the level of the appropriate committee for a final decision. You receive an email when the final decision is made.
