We are a motivated group of scientists and engineers dedicated to the process of discovery and advancing science and technology on the shores of the Mediterranean. We aim to solve problems that impact human health. Our focus is to develop novel nanotechnologies for next generation brain interfaces.
Our areas of research include: neural engineering to develop new technologies for implantable devices that can help treat brain diseases, connect the brain to artificial limbs or restore lost senses such as vision or hearing; and we are interested in biology, chemistry and physics ofnanoscale science to study, and discover new applications of nanomaterials for innovations in biosensors leading to improved characteristics or novel functionality.

Our research team is a dynamic, ever-evolving group united by a shared passion for innovation and a deep commitment to advancing humanity. Over time, the team naturally grows and shrinks, as members move on to pursue new opportunities, but each person who joins leaves an indelible mark on our work and our collective spirit. Whether they’ve been part of the team for years or have since moved on to other ventures, every member remains an integral part of our extended family, tied together by our mission and values.
We do all this at the American University of Beirut (AUB) offers one of the most picturesque and unique campus experiences in the world. Situated on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, the AUB campus is literally on the beach, providing stunning sea views, lush greenery, and a serene environment that inspires creativity and reflection. The campus’ location also offers access to vibrant city life while maintaining a peaceful academic atmosphere.
