Dr. Amer H. Zureikat is Associate Professor of Surgery, Chief of the Division of GI Surgical Oncology and Co-Director of the Pancreatic Cancer Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He received his medical education at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, general surgery training at the University of Chicago and his surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he remained on as staff in 2010. His clinical expertise is HPB surgery where he focuses on the multimodality treatment of pancreatic cancer and the application of minimally invasive surgical techniques to surgical oncology. Dr Zureikat is considered an expert and pioneer in robotic surgery. With over 150 peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, his seminal publications on the safety, feasibility and outcomes of robotic pancreatic surgery are considered to have laid the ground work for this emerging field.
