“Prison Terminal: The Last Days of Private Jack Hall”

This activity aims to raise awareness on terminally ill patients dying in dignity in unusual circumstances and focuses on the importance of integrating Palliative and Supportive Care in different settings.

The inspiring film breaks through the walls of one of Americas oldest maximum security prisons to tell the story of the final months in the life of a terminally ill prisoner and the hospice volunteers, they themselves prisoners, who care for him.

The movie was then followed by Q&A with the movie director, Mr. Edgar Barens, the Executive Director of the Humane Prison Hospice Project, Ms. Lisa Deal, as well as professionals specializing in legal and medical aspects within prison settings.
