Our goals

The Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) initiative aims to co-create evidence based, sustainable, and inclusive business environments that strengthen the social fabric and meet the aspirations for a better Lebanon.

Our methods

The SME team works on rethinking how businesses function taking into consideration circular economy, environmental challenges, and financial long-term stability to face the economic challenges, sustain, and scale these businesses.

Education Forum

Connecting over 40 educators across Lebanon in a full-day event to brainstorm and discuss various forms of public school empowerment.

Volunteering Day in Ras Baalbeck

Ziad Abi Chaker presented to community in Hermel on ways to deal with waste. The day was organized by World Vision.

Projects:

Post-blast, in partnership with the Backbone Initiative and 15 more organizations, KB-SAIL’s SME Team assessed more than 120 SMEs with 1600 employees in affected areas of Mar Mikhael, Gemmayze, and Karantina. By assessing the needs and evaluating the damages, the team helped in rebuilding and sustaining 40 SMEs.
