Our Story
In a dynamic fusion of advocacy, education, and solidarity, the American University of Beirut (AUB) recently hosted Palestine Week. This series of events and activities, spearheaded by the General Education Program, Palestine Land Studies Center, Palestinian Cultural Club, and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, not only illuminated the pressing issues facing Palestinians but also served as a vibrant platform for deep, meaningful dialogue and learning.
AUB’s campus and medical center became a hub of activity, with over 70 events drawing from the collective efforts of an extensive network of departments, centers, offices, student clubs, and societies. One of these was an installation from the Palestinian Culture Club which portrayed the “History of Palestine” outside West Hall.

Over 70 Events
Palestine Week featured over 70 events and activities organized by hundreds of individuals and collective bodies across the AUB campus and medical center, including departments, centers, offices, student clubs, and societies. The program’s richness and diversity offered a multitude of perspectives on the Palestinian struggle for liberation, the ongoing genocide against them, and the broader implications for global solidarity networks.
