Axel Hofmann is a Doctor of Medical Science and holds a Masters Degree in Economics. He is a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Anesthesiology at the University Hospital of Zurich, Switzerland an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Dentistry and Health Sciences, University of Western Australia and an Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Population Health Research at Curtin University in Western Australia.
With his background in health economics and outcomes research, he has a specialized in the field of Patient Blood Management (PBM) and has published in numerous international peer-reviewed journals.
