The Catalan Government’s Department of Culture views digital culture as the evolving relationship between humans and digital technologies. It explores intersections between traditional art forms and digital tools that innovate and transform expression. Through the ICEC's Digital Culture Area, the department supports business projects and fosters digital transformation within the cultural sectors, especially in video games, audiovisuals, music, and multimedia, with an emphasis on professionalizing the video game sector and encouraging dialogue with other cultural agents.
IDEAL is dedicated to researching, experimenting, and creating immersive content using XR technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, holography, 360º, and other new narrative media. It collaborates with universities in Barcelona (UPC, UPF, BAU, ENTI, ESDI, ELISAVA), startups, and artists for research, learning, and producing new immersive audiovisual projects. IDEAL also has a permanent program for artistic residencies, providing a space for creators to develop digital artistic languages. In addition to being an exhibition space, IDEAL emphasizes its role in the development of these disciplines.
The library provided the MED GAIMS project with a significant amount of information related to the city’s past, supporting the project from the input phase through to the final stages. It offered professional assistance in documentation and became the main source of references, including difficult-to-find documents that were scanned for use in gamified experiences.

The Víctor Balaguer Library is a unique public library in Spain, conceived to be a national resource, built with generous donations from prominent figures in the 19th century. The library houses documents spanning from the 10th century to the 21st century, including sheet music, letters, maps, incunabula, and personal documents. It also contains a wealth of historical research in fields such as literature, arts, anthropology, politics, and history. The library is particularly noted for its collection of documents related to commerce with Cuba and the Philippines during the late 19th century when they were still Spanish colonies, as well as extensive local information about Vilanova i la Geltrú. In addition to offering document consultation, it provides reprographic services.

The Game Science Research Center (GAME.SCI RE.CENTER) is an interuniversity research center based at the IMT School for Advanced Studies in Lucca. IIDEA (Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association) is the reference organization for the national videogame industry in Italy. However, since 2011, with the rise of Italian game development studios, the Association has expanded to include Italian game developers, and since 2019, it has also embraced esports business operators. The Association represents over 60 members, including hardware manufacturers, publishers, game developers, and esports operators. IIDEA is a member of several international bodies, including ISFE (Interactive Software Federation of Europe) and PEGI (Pan European Game Information).
