The ASME design workshop offered students a comprehensive introduction to 4 by 4 joint mechanism design using SolidWorks. Participants engaged in practical sessions covering 2D sketching, 3D modeling of mechanism components, assembly construction, and simulation techniques. By simulating static loading and kinetic analysis, students gained insight into the functionality and performance of their designs. This hands-on workshop fostered practical skills in SolidWorks while deepening understanding of mechanical principles.
