Description/Purpose
This workshop will introduce participants to the ACT perspective as well as provide behavioral strategies to engage patients/clients and enhance commitment to treatment, whether the approach is ACT or another modality. The workshop will be practical and experiential, encouraging active learning by participants. The workshop will be held in English and is geared towards practicing therapists actively seeing patients/clients.

After this workshop, you should be able to:
- Begin to conceptualize problems through the lens of workability/effectiveness.
- Describe the 6 ACT pathological processes and associated therapeutic processes.
- Learn to confront the “control agenda” in order to enhance patient/client commitment to treatment.
