Visualizing Palestine: Zine & Scrapbook Design Workshop

Calling all advocates for justice and creative spirits alike! As part of Palestine Solidarity Week, the AUB Press and the Writing Center are thrilled to announce a zine and scrapbook design workshop.

If you’ve attended our previous writing workshop or have your own written pieces ready, this is your chance to transform your words into powerful visual narratives. Bring your prewritten work and join us as we delve into the world of zine creation.

What to Expect: Explore the art of zine-making as we merge writing with visual design to produce impactful pamphlets and scrapbooks in solidarity with Palestine. Through this workshop, we aim to channel our collective creativity into a powerful medium for advocacy and awareness.

Opportunity for Collaboration: Attendees will have the opportunity to submit their finalized zines for inclusion in a global initiative documenting works in support of Palestine. We’re excited to digitize and make available our collective efforts in an open-source format. Make sure to let us know when you register so that we can send you the submission link after the workshop!

Join the Movement: Be inspired by examples of zines from universities and institutions worldwide, showcasing the power of grassroots activism and artistic expression in advocating for a free Palestine. You can check out examples of zines here: Libraries and Archivists with PalestineArabLit, and Publishers for Palestine.
