Online consultation for an expert opinion
- A cancer diagnosis may lead you to seek an expert opinion to ensure you have the best treatment plan. Even if you are not able to travel to Beirut for an appointment, you can still receive a medical opinion from NKBCI’s leading hematologists, oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, pathologists and radiologists.
- The first step in requesting a remote expert second opinion from is to submit an online consultation request form: it’s simple and it’s safe.
- Using this online form you will be able to also attach any relevant medical record (pathology, radiology and laboratory tests) that will help NKBCI experts gain a clearer insight about your medical condition in order to provide you the most accurate and complete information possible. This is an important step because our opinion will be based on the quality and quantity of the information received.
- We may recommend afterwards that you submit additional medical records, pathology slides, radiology images, or a combination of these items.
- Once you have submitted the form, one of our care advisers will reach out to you by phone or by email. This usually happens on the same day or the next business day.
- Online consultation are done through MyAUBHealth video consult that allows you to speak face-to-face with a NKBCI hematologist oncologist who is specialized in the field. If your local doctor needs to attend to discuss the current treatment recommendations, we will accommodate a convenient date and time that works for everyone who needs to participate. After the video consultation, you may ask for a written report from our oncologist summarizing the video consult and our care recommendations for you.
Note: Video consults are based on the extent, quality, and quantity of the medical information received. These reviews do not imply that your care is under the direction of a Naef K. Basile doctor. Should you have any questions about the recommendations contained in one of these reviews, we suggest that you first discuss them with your local doctor.
