Multipurpose Rooms , Halim & Aida Daniel ACC, AUBMC
Program Overview
The 5th Biennial Middle East Conference in Neuro-Oncology is dedicated to promoting advances in Neuro-Oncology through continuous education and training. The objective of the conference is to collaborate between all relevant disciplines in the region (Medical Oncology, Neuro-Oncology, Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, Pathology and Radiology)
During this conference, experts from different subspecialties worldwide will meet and discuss in-depth new treatment approaches in Neuro-Oncology. The aim is to apply practical considerations in molecular testing in Gliomas, discuss imaging in Gliomas, treat pediatric patients with Glioma, determine the role of surgery, pathology, radiation and medical therapy in addition to the role of supportive care, and indicate the role of Immunotherapy in brain tumors and introduce targeted therapy trials.

Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate emerging and evidence-based treatment strategies for gliomas, brain metastases, and rare CNS tumors, including the role of AI and radiomics in diagnosis and planning.
- Discuss the application of molecular diagnostics, targeted therapies, and immunotherapies in adult and pediatric Neuro-Oncology to guide precision care.
- Differentiate supportive and palliative care strategies that improve quality of life, symptom control, and communication throughout the disease continuum.
- Demonstrate effective interprofessional collaboration across Neuro-Oncology teams—including nursing, pharmacy, radiation oncology, neurosurgery, and palliative care—to enhance clinical outcomes.
- Apply best practices for survivorship care, including cognitive rehabilitation, endocrine follow-up, return-to-work support, and fatigue management.
- Analyze region-specific challenges and real-world data to adapt Neuro-Oncology care pathways within Middle Eastern healthcare settings.
- Incorporate pharmacy-led insights on drug interactions, polypharmacy, and supportive therapies into comprehensive treatment plans.
