The purpose of these awareness sessions is to provide easy access to awareness information in simplified language about the prevention of different types of cancer, mainly through promoting the importance of early screening and screening tests.

The Cervical Cancer Awareness session presented by Dr. Ghina Ghazeeri will tackle different aspects of cervical cancer: how does cervical cancer start, why it is important to tackle prevention and talk about screening, as well and its symptoms and causes. The session’s goal is approaching cervical cancer as a highly preventable disease which if diagnosed at early stages can also be successfully treated.

The session will be broadcasted live on the American University of Beirut Medical Center’s social media channels under the umbrella of the Naef K. Basile Cancer Center through Facebook (400 K followers) and Instagram (54.8K) platforms and as part of our activities for World Cancer Day 2022.
