The Palliative and Supportive Care Program at Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute (NKBCI) organized several activities regarding this year World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD) during the month of October 2021.

• At Hospital Level:

– Educational awareness sessions delivered to newly joined house staff, physicians and/or nurses at NKBCI and Surgery (by Dr. Rana Yamout) and Internal Medicine (by Dr. Karim Farah)

– A Video, regarding this year theme on how to improve provision of palliative care for marginalized population, featured on the International Day (Video link on Palliative Care Program page)
