The Cancer Prevention and Control Program at the Naef K. Basile Cancer Institute (NKBCI) at the American University of Beirut Medical, in joint collaboration and providership with King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, organized a virtual meeting on the occasion of World Cancer Day,
This meeting brought together various Lebanese and regional medical centers, foundations, and non-governmental organizations, as well as Lebanese and International experts. It will provide a platform for these stakeholders to collaborate on tackling the challenges and consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on cancer care continuum: from primary prevention and early detection to delivery of cancer care. Evolving strategies from cancer institutions and NGOs will be shared. The conference will also encompass a competition for the most creative idea to raise cancer awareness amid COVID-19.
