Dr. Hadi Jaafar Speaks at the Migration Research Institute Conference

Dr. Hadi Jaafar will speak at the MRI Strategies of Resilience conference on Refugees, water stress, and climate change in the Middle East on May 13, 2021.

The conference gathers experts in the fields of environmental sustainability, climate change and migration, and water management, and sheds light on the future of the youth given current climate conditions.

The MRI conference will be held in Budapest, Hungary on May 13-14, 2021.

Social consequences of climate change and migration are also stressed. The conference wraps up with a roundtable discussion on the philosophy and politics of climate change, along with proposed adaptation strategies.

Research activities of the Migration Research Institute focus on migration phenomena – in particular immigration in Europe – by synthesizing the scientific findings of various disciplines. The Institute pays special attention to studying the political, economic, social and cultural situation of the key countries of origin, transit and destination. The Institute collaborates with a number of international research institutes and experts and seeks to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between these actors.
