Selected for the PRIMA S1 Call for Proposals 2020

TALANOA-WATER project was selected for the PRIMA S1 call for proposals 2020 under the thematic area “Management of Water”.

The project will tackle the topic of “Implementing sustainable, integrated management of water resources in the Mediterranean, under climate change conditions”. At the American University of Beirut, Dr. Hadi Jaafar is the Principal Investigator. The project consortium is led by Dr. Dionisio Pérez-Blanco, a distinguished researcher at the Universidad de Salamanca and the coordinator of the project.

TALANOA-WATER plans to develop, test, and demonstrate the institutional and technical feasibility of a variety of adaption strategies (such as non-conventional water use, nature-based solutions, smart irrigation technologies, risk management instruments, and behavioral incentives) to address water scarcity under climate change.

 

The project is run by an international scientific consortium led by Universidad de Salamanca, responding to the PRIMA Call “Section 1 – topic 1.1.1-2020 (IA) Implementing sustainable, integrated management of water resources in the Mediterranean, under climate change conditions.”
